LAKOTA

The idea of personal or community greenhouses has floated around the Lakota EPICS team for several years. It is a compelling idea because it would aid people across the reservations to grow their own fresh produce. Unlike the greenhouse at OLC which would be over a two-hour drive for many people of the Lakota tribe, these greenhouses would be available in their towns. This year the Greenhouse sub-team of Lakota EPICS has begun the design of these personal greenhouses and plan to have a design and prototype by the end of the semester.
