Project ECHO

Our online-only students formed this subgroup of the Lakota EPICS Team in the Fall 2020 semester. These students worked with Project Echo, created by the University of New Mexico, to begin creating a global communications network that is focused on decentralizing knowledge and bringing medical solutions and aid to remote regions. The purpose of the Echo Project is not to develop new solutions, but instead its goal is to allow people access to innovative solutions that are already available. With the Covid-19 crisis Project Echo is working to get the solutions to stop the spread out to remote regions.
